June's Card Club

I had a completely different card in mind when I first started making cards for June. I am beginning to find that this happens to me alot...I start going in one direction and end up scrapping that idea and move in a completely different direction. Well....it happened again! This time I am glad I did! Sorry the pic quality is so bad- I took it with my iphone and uploaded it to photobucket...then had a heck of time getting it to load to my my blog from there...This card is a combination of the things I have learned while scrapbooking. The grass was made out scrap patterened paper, and I learned this through a stampin up ! party I attended. The clouds I originally did by wadding up a paper towel ( for a minute I thought I had come up with something) until Shelley introduced me to the sponge daubber, last Saturday,lol! The stand I paper pieced together out of scraps, I raid Shelleys scraps on a regular basis because her scraps-alot of times- arent exactly scraps! and the birdhouse...this stamp is by Studio G- I paid fifty cents for it at a local discount store....the best fifty cents I've ever spent! The tag says "thinking of you".

Summer! Yay!

I am looking forward to summer! I never thought I would say that, but I am. I am looking forward to Keoni's transition into high school...I am looking forward to long days of scrapbooking time, I am looking forward to time with the people who make my world go round!
I had the opportunity to participate in my first blog hop over Memorial Day weekend that was put on by Memory Works! What fun that was! I have no idea if I won anything, but I loved going from blog to blog!
I am hoping to be able to spend more time doing the stuff I love...that is the blessing of having a teenager...they dont really want me to plan their summer time all the time anymore :)
